A luxury subscription wellness box comes to life
La La Life is a new business venture with a clear mission: to create an online box subscription that brings curated self-care and wellness products to your doorstep each season. It is a little treat for yourself that you can feel good about from the inside out. We partnered with this mother-daughter startup to help bring their vision of seasonal subscription wellness to life.
Challenge
La La Life came to us with a business name and vision for a company that would help promote a lifestyle of holistic wellness and self-care. In the crowded space of subscription box companies, we had to rise above competitors with a luxurious clean beauty focus.
solution
We started a strategy phase by defining all aspects and qualities of the La La Life customer and created four cornerstone attributes to the brand: seasonal, self-care, prevention and wellness. We then created fresh logo concepts that illustrated these ideas. The final logo communicates all that the team envisioned: a curated and considered spa-like identity. The brand elements were applied to the box design, box brochure, business cards and commerce website for a cohesive look.
RESULT
New subscribers living the La La Life
Each season is a box full of surprises for La La Life customers. An intuitive e-commerce website allows for seamless shopping and gifting. As new customers discover the new brand, we find updates to the website are essential to evolve and test new solutions for converting subscribers to long term service members. We plan to continue growing the La La Life brand and family!
BRAND IDENTITY & STRATEGY
Icons for all four seasons
Custom icons and colors represent each season of the year with organic branches, leaves and flowers and an evolving color palette. Spring green, golden summer, rusty autumn and cool winter hues further communicate the changing of time. Key product categories are illustrated with icons combined with soothing seasonal images. Black and white photos help differentiate lifestyle images from product highlights.

Styled images on a dime
We are always very conscious of a start-up budget and a custom photoshoot is often out of range when a new company is first launching. For La La Life, we wanted to optimize their image and their overall spend. By gathering stock images all shot from the same birds-eye view for consistency, and by changing lifestyle imagery to an elegant black and white for contrast, we created a distinctive brand image unique to La La at a fraction of the cost.
E-COMMERCE
Best practices for subscription e-commerce
We carefully crafted the content and design for LaLaLifeBox.com optimizing best practices for subscription e-commerce. Copy was written for the luxury wellness consumer in mind. We structured navigation to require very few clicks to understand the product, make a selection and checkout. A customized Shopify site makes maintenance and updates easy for the team to evolve and edit for the future.
